Tristram Shandy

Tristram Shandy

by

Laurence Sterne

Tristram’s dedication of the book to Pitt reflects this popularity, although he must amend it in the ninth volume to reflect the fact that Pitt was given an aristocratic title and became Lord Pitt in 1766.
