Langdon and Sophie run to a nearby train station. Langdon feels guilty for putting Teabing in danger. Sophie insists the best way to help him is alert London police. She intends to force Rémy and Silas into hiding. Afterward, they will go to King’s College to use their research database. Sophie’s call to the police is transferred to Fache, who demands her location. He made a mistake—he knows Langdon is innocent. Fache claims Sophie and Langdon are in danger and he is trying to save them and his career. Sophie tells him to look for Rémy, who just kidnapped Teabing. Fache orders her to take refuge with London police. Sophie hangs up and boards a train with Langdon.
Langdon blames himself for involving Teabing in their quest, though it’s likely he was already in danger, as Rémy was using him to gain intel on the Grail. Like Fache did to them, Sophie intends to make it difficult for Silas and Rémy to travel openly by alerting the authorities. Fache’s admission of Langdon’s innocence could mean he’s not the Teacher or else he could be trying to lure them into a trap.
