The Player
Mrs. Coaxer is one of the sex workers who appears in Act II. While she has few lines, she plays an important role in the opera as a whole because she repeatedly gets involved in other characters’ drama. She accuses Lockit of stealing her bounty, refuses to pay what she owes Mrs. Diana Trapes for clothes, and most importantly, is with Macheath when Peachum captures him the second time, partway through Act II.
