A friend who Alice meets through Denise Daddario, the social worker at the neurosurgeon’s office where both Alice and Cathy are patients. Cathy is 48 and, like Alice, is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Alice and Cathy become fast friends, and Cathy is one of the last people outside of Alice’s family to reach out and check on her before she forgets to keep checking her email and laptop. Cathy attends Alice’s talk at the annual Dementia Care Conference.
