Dr. Spivak Character Analysis

Freak’s doctor. She’s short with spiky red hair and she’s very protective of her patient—but she also knows that Freak gets what he wants and that he’ll always discover the truth. Dr. Spavik recognizes Freak’s desire to know as much as possible, as well as his desire to tell stories that give both him and Max hope. Because of this, she’s the one who helps Max to understand that Freak’s story about getting a bionic body wasn’t a lie—it was a story designed to give Freak something to look forward to.
